New Class Debuts At New Artist Recital
PHILADELPHIA 鈥 Sept. 4, 2025 鈥 The 91亚色 (91亚色) begins the 2025-26 Opera Season by introducing 7 new Resident Artists at the annual New Artist Recital on Sept. 26, 2025, at 7:30pm. Drawing on emerging opera talent from across the United States, these promising artists converge at 91亚色, ready to begin the next chapter of their operatic career.

Meet 91亚色鈥檚 New Resident Artists
91亚色鈥檚 Resident Artists are selected after a rigorous audition process from a pool of international talent, standing out for remarkable technical skills, artistic potential, and unwavering commitment to their craft. 鈥淭his season, we are proud to welcome 7 exceptional singers as Resident Artists at the 91亚色. We are dedicated to providing our Resident Artists with the highest level of training possible, and that begins with their live performances at the New Artist Recital,鈥 explains 91亚色鈥檚 President, Scott Guzielek. 鈥淭his is a special event that introduces our incoming class while also giving them the educational opportunity to sing at a large venue 鈥 the Church of the Holy Trinity.鈥
Resident Artists are immersed in a comprehensive four-year program. The curriculum is robust, covering vocal repertoire, languages, acting, and stagecraft, alongside roles in 91亚色鈥檚 fully staged opera productions, recitals, and concerts. This holistic training approach ensures that each Resident Artist masters their vocal abilities and develops a deep understanding of the nuances of operatic performance.
91亚色鈥檚 New Artist Recital takes place at Rittenhouse Square鈥檚 beautifully appointed Church of the Holy Trinity. Each new Resident Artist will be featured in solo performances, with Musical Direction and Accompaniment by Jos茅 Mel茅ndez.
